We are from Texas where winter is almost none existant. But currently we live in olympia WA it gets cold but hardly any snow. Help is needed.

I am moving to Colorado. I will be working for the department of Corrections. Before I choose a facility I need to make sure I choose the correct location for myself. I have drove through there twice through Pueblo, Colorado City and Denver. I dont recall any of it being very pretty. Alot of people say that Colorado is very pretty country. So where can I move to within Colorado that is pretty with pine trees tall mountains? That the cost of Real Estate is not sky high. I know that Pueblo and Colorado City are in my budget for houses bot getting towards Aspen is really high. Anyone know of any good places close to a State Prison? And any tips about living in CO? How do you like it there? Are the people friendy? What is the state sales tax there? Thanks for everyone’s future answers!!!!!!!

I’m such a California girl. I was born and raised here in Orange County, and I don’t want to move to Colorado ( no offense to those who live in Colorado ).
What can I say to her to get her to change her mind about going?
Mum wants to go because she doesn’t want to work anymore. We have plenty of money as it is, and she gets to see us often ( she says she rarely sees us >>;; ), but she’d being selfish and isn’t thinking of us. She just wants to be able to lay around all day.
So, all in all, there is no reason to go.
And I have explained to her several times why I don’t want to go, but she could care less.
I am thinking of moving to Golden, Colorado in a few years, does anyone have an opinion about it?
